He's changed quite a bit, but not the "I don't like humans" part of him. He started out as a more Sonic-like hero character, that no one would embrace. Then he got his dark side, more vigilante-like. It was all kind of sponataneous in those cases.

I made an actual concsious effort to make him different in this one. I mean, a princess falling for a weirdo like him?

It was kind of hard to write, I tend to get attached to characters being together. Ekyt and Linda, for example. It's almost like this story was cheating on her at first, lol!

I agree, Sonic and Elise wasn't a great idea. I wonder if I should have left the two together longer, and teased a Linda and Sonic relationship...

Oh, I commented on your fic, btw. If you don't mind my asking, how much time goes into each chapter/episode/issue/whateve term you use?

Poor Elise...if she hadn't kissed Sonic, I doubt she'd be as hated, lol.

My worry about chaning Ekyt's character was I've always portrayed him as a "guardian" or a vigilante. Never as a straight-up good guy. I had him at odds with other humans. In this one, his first kiss is with one.

It seems like every popular character nowadys is an anti-hero, like Shadow for example. I'm not sure if that's just me, or if other's have noticed it.

And you're right, personality changes drive a story.

I agree 100% You know yourself, and you know what entertains you. Put the two together, and it makes for entertaining, absorbing fic.

It's in the same vein as game design, but that's a whole different issue ^^

I missed your post on writing totally somehow 0_0. But that sounds about right. I write at home in my office all the timel. And, as egomanical as it sounds, I actually used myself to shape my main character, then I used some ideas I got from movies/comics/etc for the other characters. One of my characters, "Kurt," was based on Nightcrawler of X-Men, for example. It's cool when you can get your interests to collide.
