Haast's Eagle and the Moas
Haast's Eagle and the Moas
Haast's Eagle and the Moas by BlizzardBird
Description
Description
The Haast's Eagle lived in New Zealand about 700 years ago. It is thought to be the heaviest flying bird ever to have evolved. It's diet consisted mainly of the Moa, another New Zealand bird that resembled the Ostrich and Emu in appearance.

In my picture I tried to recapture a scene from the past of a Haast's Eagle attacking a mother Moa who is trying her best to protect her five chicks. The father is attempting to scare off the eagle. Who wins, that is up to your imagination!

Comments and suggestions please!

O.O man that is awesome!!! haha, no problem! thanks for commenting on my profile! and... the suggestions? i am not much of an artist but the claws on the eagle and the father are great but the drumsticks they are attatched to needs a little work. (SORRY TO BE SO PICKY!!!!) and... the eagle's head is a little off. but apart from that, it is a great picture. i am not much of an artist myself and i know it is very difficult to draw animals in three-dimensional format. Deviantart is a site where you can post professional art! you can post many different things on that site such as fanfiction and art and photography. ^-^ it's an all-art site! i really like your pictures because it's really detailed.
