The Warlord's Night

Gah! This was so much fun! XD I'm also really pleased with the way it turned out. Absolutely everything is brush work, therefore, I am really proud of it! (The fact that human anatomy and clothing folds are starting to work themelves out for me helps.)

Ok, this is my character Aiyden Skye (haha, no i didn't name him that because he has wings). His last name is in honor of an old friend, whom I recently saw again after several years apart.
His design was inspired by my favorite character from The Black Jewels Trilogy, by Anne Bishop. (It's sorta mature reading, but I highly recommend it.)
He belongs to the Eyrien race, which is a long-lived race. He has probably seen about 1200 years, and is just coming into his prime.
Around his neck is his Birthright Red Jewel, which is the fourth darkest Jewel. (Power and talent with Craft (magic) is shown by the color of one's Jewels, and they range from White to Black, Black being the darkest and most powerful.)
His other Jewel is Ebon-Gray, which is the second darkest.
He also holds the title of Warlord Prince, which is the highest male ranking.
All male Eyriens are trained to fight from birth, so hence the war blade and drops of blood (hence mild violence rating) on the ground behind him. He's in his element.
His uniform was in part inspired by a tv show I saw a while ago...
