It's Kittle's first evolution. Krinkkle was loosely based on a bowling pin that had been knocked over on to its side. He's kinda like a spiky, miserable, orange Metapod...
0.3 mechanical pencil, 0.3 drawing pen, felt tip markers and Ulead Photo Express 2 for the background. Comments welcome! :)
Like other cocoons, Krinkkle can’t really do anything except sit motionless, waiting to evolve. No wonder they don't look happy. Krinkkle don’t eat, but will occasionally suck up nearby dewdrops for substance. They're protected from predators by its spiky coat but never seems to cheer up, no matter how much attention they're given. In fact it’s pretty hard to get any sort of reaction from them... although sometimes they go “mmph” for no reason at all.

Well, that's what he is really. :) The sketchy version I didn't submit had a longer "neck" so it looked more bowling pin-like than this one.

It's not a thing, it's a cocoon... :( Drawing the actual creature didn't take three hours, but getting the initial sketch right did (that's three hours on and off, not three hours straight).
I must have picked a bad time to draw, it was one of those days where you can try as many times as you like but the final pic just doesn't look how you want it to. I only seem to get them right when I'm not concentrating 100%...
