Description

Description
Stratadrake
Here is the final entry for my elemental series of dragons, and perhaps the capstone of that series, the element for Light. The unique distinction for this dragon is immediately apparent: he balances on two legs! Light has the freedom to stand up on two legs like a dracan or anthro, and also to stand on all fours like a normal dragon. Compare his posture here to his other stance (Dragon of Elements - Light (As Warrior)); while his two postures certainly look very different, he bears the same physiology underlying each. It is a unique quality not shared by any normal dragon.

As an element, Light is not restricted to the visible spectrum of color frequencies, it also rules over the invisible forms of light such as infrared or UV. It is said that without Light, nothing could have come into being, and as such Light is also called the sacred element. Light shares its power with a few other elements such as fire and electricity, and is superior to darkness. Light is said to be incorruptible, remaining on the side of Good even should all seven of the other elements fall. It is a position of respect, authority, and utmost responsibility.

Fairygurl27wonderful work, your dragon skills are so well done, I really like this dragon, the crystal on its tail is very nice, the pink and blue go very well together, he does look like a strong ruler, his armor is very nice too, *adds to favs* well done!

HeatherenieThis guy deffinantly looks like a ruler. for one thing he stands tall as if above everything, which you say he is, he seems strong but like all of your other dragons he has a short tail! I think this guy should of had a long like tail that makes him appear even more unique and strong!

EraRilliani'd have to agree! Thae face does look very intelligent! I like this drawing a lot, it's cute nad nicely colored but there's one little problem. The heck should mold in iwth the rest of the leg, not jutt out so far, and the thigh bone needs to be bigger. Think of a T-Rex. He has HUGE hips because If an animal is going to run on two rugs, it needs to be able to support that weight. Other then that, this looks great! Kepp it up!

KFelidaeI really like the light dragons (I'm replying to both here), and applaud you on making them strikingly different than your other elementals, both in design and in decoration.

Though, admittedly, I have some nits.

The "thumb" on the bipedal dragon looks off somehow. Like it's not part of the wrist bone and is simply added on as an afterthought. Also on the bipedal, the wing almost looked as if it were attached to the arm. It wasn't until I looked at the quadraped that I realized it wasn't. And on both, the feet look off for supporting the full weight of a dragon. Generally, when an animal puts its foot down, it spreads the toes to maximize balance and weigt distribution.

But back to praising.

The pink used on the face really brings to attention that this is an intellegent creature. The difference in colour makes you look at the face, makes you look at the eyes. The veining in the wings is a nice bit of detail, too. And they're not too prominant. They don't stand out too much as to be distracting.

Another fine dragon. Well, dragons. =D
