Spiny the Porcupine (2016 design)

Spiny was deliberately created as a parody of all those OCs that are just Sonic with some subtle difference. For the continuation of the series, I'm updating his look to poke fun at Sonic Boom, where the design of Sonic in that series is like the quintessential lame Sonic OC. (well, it is. sorry if that sounded mean, but its true)

In the context of the story, Spiny is Experiment 9, and is fully aware that he resembles Sonic in the extreme, and utterly despises that fact. He turns to villainy seemingly to distance himself from the Blue Blur. He has full control over the Chaos Spear ability, even being able to control its flight path after shooting it.
