Beauty of the Cross

Drawn and given to my beloved pastor and friend, Jay Dennis of First Baptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland, Florida! He's an awesome guy, and I wanted to give him something to show my appreciation. As of now, I've only known him a few months, but he's had such a huge impact on me and my family. He's a wonderful man who serves and loves the Lord!<br />

About the drawing itself, the flowers were very difficult, because the lines on the reference I used weren't defined very well. Plus, it wasn't a colored reference either, so I had to do some guesswork. This is the second attempt as well, because the first was very off balance, and I wasn't happy with it. Other than that, probably one of my best pieces!<br />

On a side note, I would like to ask a personal favor of fellow believers. Please be in prayer for Pastor Jay and his wife Angie. They both have serious health problems that only the Lord can heal. Angie is now recovering from having breast cancer, and Pastor Jay is fighting against lupis, which he's handling very well lately. Regardless, these two awesome people need your prayers!
