Description
This is my tribute to late, great General John Buford of the Union Calvary, and his horse Gray Eagle. He is quite the unsung hero of his time, for it was Buford that selected and staged the greatest battle of the War of the Rebellion; the Battle of Gettysburg. I've always admired his background, and am at present reading his biography. I encourage all Civil War enthusiasts to look into his story - you won't be disappointed.<br />

In terms of the drawing, one of the most difficult I've ever done. I've never been good with realism, but he turned out to be fairly decent. I was going by this poster I have, and did the best I could. Gray Eagle was a trial, namely for all that black he's got. I had to really use my head to get this one done, but the result is satisfying!
