Description
A typical half-half picture of Gray Fox, aka Frank Jaeger, of the Metal Gear series.
The left is his Cyborg Ninja Form with an open helmet, or how he appeared in Metal Gear Solid. The right half is his younger self, or how he was depicted in Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake.
As for his ninja form, my original concept was that of a closed helmet, but I repeated the drawing. I figured it would be cooler if the helmet was opened up. I follwed the color pallete of the Twin Snakes Model (the remake of MGS). In the original MGS1, the orangey part you see was more of...salmon pink. O_o Getting the colors right was a tough job, especially since this is traditional media. I still feel the colors are a bit off.
Don't ask me why his right eye is a Hyuuga eye. It's like that in MGS1 for some reason, while the left eye remains normal. >_> Also, note that it's not so symmetrical to the other half because of his thick exoskeleton.
To see how his helmet kinda works, check out this fanimation: http://fonzu.deviantart.com/art/Gray-Fox-Cyborg-Ninja-82803932
Don't forget to click that big red button on his face! I was staring at that thing for minutes waiting for something to happen. ^^;
And for the right half, this was the only reference I had: http://images.wikia.com/metalgear/images/e/ef/Gray_Fox_%28MG2%29.gif
And it still looks far from him, so... don't blame me. >_< I took some artistic license for this part. By the way, his sleeve is supposed to be rolled up since in MG2 his pixel sprite thing had no sleeves.
I am a bit annoyed that he has gray hair (and maybe even gray eyes) just because his codename his Gray Fox. -_- How creative...
My description officially ends here, but I'll continue to rave below the line. lol
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's mostly about the voice in the original game and the remake.
I do have to say that IMO, the original voice actor's acting was superior to the remake; but for some reason when I look at the human Gray Fox and imagine the same voice, it doesn't suit well.
I don't know why, but somehow the remake voice suited the character's face better.I guess I wouldn't have minded if he at least did a better job in the voice acting.
