It's about time I actually drew my favorite character from this series...despite how often I rant about Homura, Ni Jianyi is definitely my favorite. Gotta' love those mad scientist-priest hybrids. Mild spoiler warning for those who don't know Jianyi is Ukoku (is that even worth a warning?).

So yeah, this was utterly random. Apparentely he's got a smudged, red Muten Sutra covering his body? And he looks like a cross between Yasuyoshi Sano [Air Gear] and Severus Snape [Harry Potter]...

I'll most likely draw him again sometimes...I really do need to do much more Saiyuki fanart. >_>

WOOOOW!!!! He looks so coooool!
I love how you've made the hair so much! The colors are so beautiful! I allways like how you color the eyes. I like that you color red around them. I think that makes your pictures look so.. powerful.. in a way. o.o
I LOVE the purple shading so much!!! It looks awesome! His outfit looks so cool too!

Thank you! I like the red around the eyes too (well, obviously XD), mainly because it makes them stand out from the rest of the face~ And purple shading is an obsession of mine that seems to be fading to green shading...I don't think I could ever color real skin tones. XD

Oooh, I shoulda figured. XD; Yaay for something I recognize! Whoohoo. :3
Heey, and I still think it's an awesome Ukoku. I love the tones for his face; the purple and smudges of red. And the shading on the red sutras is just amazing. @_@
Personally, my favorites are Gojyo and Kami-sama, but~ XD;
Awesome, anyway. ...Speaking of which, I should go out and buy some more reload sometime. I'm waaay behind. >>;

Saiyuki is a mainstream love. Well...about as mainstream as I tend to wander. XD

And Kami-sama is so freakin' adorable!! All of my friends think he's creepy, but the say the same about most of my favorite characters...currently being Ukoku and Hazel~~<3 I'm only on Reload volume 4, myself...though I have been reading Gaiden. >_>
