Here's a rough look of a character in the history of my Abiotic Factor stories, more to come on that on the finished pic. But as far as this pic goes I have a question that I'd like some other artist opinion on.

What type of clothing would a cat-like alien race wear at a time in their history that would be the same as our present time technology wise? Do you think they would put a value on certain materials like us, like gold, jewels, and oil? I have what I'm going to put in the stories right now, but I'd like to hear about other peoples views on this.

i think any creatures have "favorite" things and things they value above all else for whatever reason. so, yes, i think they'd have materials and such like that. i'm thinking sleek materials, somewhat clingy (kitties do like rubbing against things... so material that catches might work)... hmmm... i'm not as familiar with cats as dogs. what color spectrum can they see, because that would determine a lot of what they wear for colors and for what draws them. kitties are scent based like dogs, right? so, either they would be drawn to perfumes for scents, or if they go off of individual scents, then perfumes could be a way of "disguise" and somewhat frowned upon.

just some ideas.

Well for the clothing I think it largely depends upon which bracket they fall under such as low, middle, and upper class. Where low class would be ragged poorly made clothing where as the middle class would have average looking clothes that are loose fitting and comfortable easy to move in and of course the upper class would have the 'best of the best' so to speak. However for the clothing designs I think it depends on what kind of race they are, are they a warrior aggresive type or are they more of a civilized peaceful type? Look upon your military experience what type of clothing do you wear when entering battle do you wear a loose type clothing or do you wear a more tight fitting type? Did they use a lot of vibrant colors or more of a bland type color?
If they resemble us then yeah I'd say they would value the same thing as us but that's entirely up to you.

Well, since it's a feline-like alien race, I owuld suggest very stream line, easy to move in outfits. Maybe they would put extra value on some jewels, like jade or crystal.
