New Friend

Every time I show my Grandpa one of my new anime Drawings, he always asks me "when are you gonna start drawin' horses?" So when the question of what to get him for Christmas came up, it was obvious what I was going to do. This was also a bit of a tribute to one of my favorite draft mares that died in an accident last month. I don't think I've ever been so close to a horse as with her, so it's been kind of tough. I didn't use any reference, I wanted to try to capture what I could remember of the many wonderful hours I spent brushing & harnessing her for work everyday. So this is my Christmas present to my Grandpa whome I hold responsible for my deep love of draft horses, & to My dear friend Ruby, Who I'll never forget.
