Ah, I gave Daine no justice for her beauty in this picture T_T I copied it from the cover of "Wild Magic", Book 1 of The Immortals, by Tamora Pierce. She is THE best author in the entire world so read her books! I have every single on except for one book. Here are her series:

The Lioness Quartet
-Heroine: Alanna of Trebond
The Immortals
-Heroine: Veralidaine Sarrasri of Snowsdale (I think; I haven't read the series recently)(Daine for short)
The Protector of the Small
-Heroine: Keladry of Mindelan (Kel for short)
Trickster's Choice
-Heroine: Alianna of Pirate's Swoop (Aly for short)
Trickster's Queen
-Heroine: (?) I haven't read this book yet, but I'll let you guys know when I read it.
Those are her best books, in my opinion. Her other 2 series are "The Circle of Magic" and "The Circle Opens." So, yeah, now I'm rambling and I've finished promoting Tamora Pierce ^^;

This is really good. I love Tamora Pierce's books, too. I like the series in Tortall best. I've read all except the last in "The Circle Opens" series and her brand new one about when they reunite.
