Unlike "Rats," the other print I did on a copper plate, this print one was done on lino... It wasn't as tough and hardy as my copper plating, and a couple of pieces did break off... Which is why I edited it on my handy Paint program (said with sarcasm)... You might see the slight flaws where I fixed the problems, so try not to look too close! Another difference with this one is that I didn't alter the same one 4 times on the lino itself, instead I just copied and pasted the original 3 more times: once in reverse and then upside down... I like the effect it created... This "doorway" that is seen here can also be seen in "Waking Dreams," where the child is protecting herself by disappearing into/being surrounded by fantasy...

That be awesomeness. The creatures are rockin'! Are they a specific creature or just made-up?

Well thank you! I don't think printing, in the traditional sense, is going to be alive much longer... Things like digital printers and PaintShop programs are going to make it extinct. I do like this one though, it has a nice texture to the paper -- I don't usually use watercolour paper. The ink is perhaps a little bit thick, but it does serve well to make the creature look more threatening and "heavy"...

Hi there! I finally managed to take some time off to visit other people's galleries here, so I kinda immediately decided to check if you have uploadaed new stuff lately. And, man, was I surprised!! :) I wish I wasn't so busy, so I could comment more :(
Anyway, I love this pic. The expression and posture of the creature are perfect! It does look a lot like a werewolf, except for the missing tail. I've always imagined werewolves to have tails 8)
PS: I do envy you and all the other artists who don't seem have any problems drawing a full-sized human or anthro figure :D *LOL* I'm more of a heads only type :S My anathomy sux

Well, at least you have specialized in one area... You can always try to branch out and do new things when you feel it is time to do so. It takes time to learn new things, and when one is comfortable doing something a certain way, it's tougher to let go and do something different. I'm going to attempt something I haven't done in a while -- someone is drawing me a dragon, so I am doing a trade and drawing one for that person as well. I haven't drawn a dragon in ages, and I fear I've gotten a bit lazy, as well as I'm trying to get it done -- Just a couple more tweaks. I'm also used to working with a huge size and I've really cut down so it saves time on the scanner... Wish me luck! 8) And thank you for your kind words!

Right on! Yes, I was going for a nightmarish, threatening predator... Coming through the doorway. Not necessarily werewolf, but still same "personality." LOL I don't usually do darker pictures because I think I kind of disturb myself, but this one was a little therapeutic. Anyway, I can't wait to see my dragon, but yours may not be done until after this weekend, unfortunately. I've got some stupid head cold and plus I work... I'll finish it though! See ya later!
