The Meeting

Hey folks! Been a while since I did a serious project for myself.

This has been a while coming. I worked most on the background. It took the most time. Damn trees. Anyhow, this is my second attempt at painting a background. I thought I'd do things differently again and I have to say that I am very proud of the way it turned out. This entire picture has 3 layes. The background, the house, and the dragon. I decided to do it as if I were painting almost entirely. Hope you like it! Here is a little story to go along with the visual...

Hearing a noise outside, the boy jumped out of bed. He put his slippers on and got his coat. He was alone there in that dark forest, and something... Something huge had made noise outside his home.

Light poured onto the dark forst floor as the child ran from his hut and into the night. A snort greeted him and the boy froze, watching in amazement and a little bit of terror as a giant figure seems to creep from the darkness.

The area was filled with blue light as the giant dragon lifted it's head from the river to stare at the boy. Their gaze met, and the meeting was complete. Hyrus the Dreamweaver. Of the forest... Of the mind. A moment neither of them would forget.
