Description
I know I am doing a lot of concept art lately, but oh well!
This is an OC Reaper character from Mass Effect. It would be a Squad Member. I have it thought out extremely well. I was originally going to do more for this, but ah well. Was just doing my new way of coloring and designing that I am working on. If you are interesting, here is one of those times where I am going to write a lot.
It will be used in an RP, and I haven't quite settled on a name.
This Reaper is to contact Shepard disguised as a distress call. Once they fight their way through the area, they find the Reaper at the head of the way. It is offering Reaper intelligence and wants to join Shepard much like Legion.
Of course, Shepard would be like HELL NO. However, he shares the first thing; and that is that Reapers have removable cores that they store elsewhere. It is why they remain powerful even under heavy assault. Once aboard the Normandy, the Reaper offers his core to Shepard as a gesture of good faith. He/she could kill it at any time that way.
Although it's motive is unclear at first, they soon find out a bit of the history of the Reapers. Harbinger was the first, followed by 12 others, including the one that is now on their Squad. It was developed as a mobile foot soldier to go into battle with the creators instead of being a fully functional ship. It was modelled after the race that built it, which is a distant relative of the Turian race; explaining some of the look of this Reaper although more reptilian in build.
There are charged cannons built into it's 'hands' as well as mouth. There is a precise grabbing claw on the end of the tail fixture. Not for combat, but for technician jobs. It does not wield guns.
Because of it's smaller size, it was and continues to be rather useless to Sovereign and Harbinger and stays behind.
Once on the final loyalty mission for the Reaper, it is found that it has seen the extinction of countless races thanks to his kind. It seeks to end the cycle.
Squad Tree Abilities:
- Hacking: Can turn synthetics against one another for a short time.
- Heavy Armor: A very defensive character that can take hits.
- Technician: Precise.
- Indoctrination: Can turn organics against one another for a short time.
- Reaper Syndicate: Boost to all abilities and armor.
