Here we are.

At the end, friends.

Together.

Wow. This took everything I had! But I couldn't just let such a momentous event go unheard. This is my contribution to the end of Homestuck. I am very emotional about it. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone I have met thanks to Homestuck. All the laughs, tears, blood, sweat, and tears that have gone into the comic has made my life worthwhile many times over. Thank you for everything that you have done for me and for so many other people. I will continue to love you forever!

Happy 4/13.

Koji45Oh my gosh this is really beautiful! I absolutely Love it! Geeze it must have taken a lot of work.
Good gosh I still can't believe the comic is over. Of course I'll still remain a huge fan and still keep doing cosplays and artwork and RP's and all that related to it but still.
This is a wonderful contribution, you did an amazing job on it!~

ArohkThank you! It took me 8 hours of straight work. Streamed the entire thing, haha. Right into the morning. I think I had started around midnight! I was very determined to get it done for 4/13!
Me either. I still am total trash and obsessed with Homestuck and I don't think that I will ever stop. Good to know that there are others out there! I have never cosplayed before, but I still do art and RP within the universe.
Thanks again!

Koji45Oh gosh! I don't think I would have ever had that kind of patience! But all that hard work seriously paid off though, it came out wonderfully!
Saame! It's one of the largest obsessions i've ever had honestly and I don't see that obsession dying down any time soon! And even if it eventually does I know i'll still always really love it!
Ahh cosplaying is so fun! Can be pretty expensive though sadly.

And of course!~

ArohkOnce I get started on a piece of art, I usually lose myself into it until I'm finished. So it's not too bad in dealing with patience! Thanks so much, though! And yeah! Same here. I have other ones, but Homestuck is the strongest. Which is really no surprise, considering I have it plastered everywhere. XD I do like dressing up! I have never done it publicly. I am just too shy. I own enough merchandise to pull off some nice cosplays. I just don't have the confidence, haha!

Koji45Oh gosh! That's wonderful to be able to do though. It only happens with me once in a great while and more often on Sewing projects then drawings. Like I have no idea how many straight hours of work I did on my petstuck Karkat plush. Worth it though!
Haha before for me it was Pokemon pretty much sense I was 9. Homestuck has been the only piece of fiction that I've ever grown to like more then that! Pokemon still pulls a pretty close second though.
And Nah I can understand that honestly! I used to be like that. After really starting to go to conventions though that helped a lot. Seeing everyone else around you in costume, it at least helped me anyway.
Now I feel pretty good just doing it in public for the fun of it. I gotta tell you, walking down town in full troll cosplay does get some pretty entertaining responses! x3 ((we were doing cosplay photoshoots that day and a lot of great spots were right in town))

ArohkI can imagine! I used to make plushies as well and I know how time-consuming they can be! Sounds adorable, though. I really like Petstuck.
Same here. Pokemon came out when I was in Elementary School, so I got into it right away. I'll never forget the first time I got Pokemon Blue. c: Dragon Age was/is my other obsession, but Homestuck had taken that over as soon as I started it. I still love Pokemon, though. I am sure that I would love cosplaying if I tried it. There's just hardly ever any conventions around where I live and I would super want to meet other Homestucks, lol. That is awesome though. Go you! I would totally do that if I were cosplaying as well. XD

Koji45They areee! They're wonderful once they're done but good gosh the amount of time it takes!
Haha thankss! I actually think he came out pretty good and I don't usually say that about my own work! Petstuck is really freaking cute so as soon as I saw art for it I just had to make one!~ <3
Samee! I can't remember what grade I was in exactly but I know it was elementary school! Red was my first game though, followed by Crystal!
Ahh Dragon Age! I've heard of it but sadly still don't know much about it!
Aww i'm sorry! Yeah there really aren't many cons near where I live either I've gotta drive a decent distance to any of them. So worth it though. There practically aren't any other Homestucks around where I live so it's so much fun to meet so many at those places!
Haha thankss~x3

ArohkYou have really wonderful plushies! I think you do an awesome job, so all your work pays off. c:
I don't remember who coined PetStuck but I have seen plenty of art for it on Tumblr. I think it's adorable. I think I would have been in Grade 2? Somewhere around there! Lifelong love and fandomship. I got all of them since. You should definitely check out Dragon Age someday if you have the means. You won't be disappointed!
Mannnn. I feel that so hard. I really wish there were more Homestucks near me, but eyy, that is what the internet is for. XD It was nice meeting you too! I am always up for meeting more Homestucks.

Koji45Aww thank you so much!! >w<
I have no idea. I just know i've seen plenty of art for it and it's adorable!
Ummm I THINK I was in grade 4 or 5 but I can't remember. I know i got into Pokemon around that time though. Good gosh that was so long ago now.

I might check out Dragon age eventually yeah! I've got a friend who's really into it and been trying to get me into it as well! Eventually I'll end up trying it! xD Just to busy right now. Less then two weeks before a convention and two still unfinished cosplays to make!
And yeahhh. I have one friend who likes it and my brother likes it (though he's currently into other stuff atm) He's the one who got me into it. But that's about it for around here. First time I was completely surrounded by other Homestucks it was the weirdest and best thing I swear!
Haha yay for internet for sure! And aww it was nice meeting you as well! Haha same!!

ArohkOf course! That is awesome. Rofl, we're old. Old grandparents.
It is definitely worth it! Start with the first game, though. The continuity through the series is key! Convention sounds awesome too. The only one that ever comes around here is in the Summer, and that is well behind us now. I might try to go at some point. I haven't been since I was in highschool, honestly, haha.

Koji45Haha yeahhhh I feel old sometimes! Good gosh i'm turning 27 in two months!
Oh yes! I always start with the first game! Wellllll except for once when I played the EarthBound series. Ended up playing the third one first, then the second, then the first. But you can actually do that with those games and be okay!
But either way yess! How many games are in the series? and what systems are they for?
Oh gosh Conventions are So awesome! I've been around 15 times by now and there are at least 4 of them that I got to each year! Sadly none real close by but still!
Awww, well I hope you'll be able to go at some point!

Arohk on October 10, 2016, 7:22:23 PM

Arohk on
ArohkYou're only a couple months older than me! Go figure, rofl. Mine's March 22nd.
Some people might convince you to start with Inquisition since it was recent, that's all. Don't listen to those people! Going up through your games and having all your save states count is magical. I love it! EarthBound is a little different since it's availability was not exactly English until recentish. And 90s internet didn't emulate games. :P How many in the Dragon Age series? There are three games. Origins (with Awakening expansion), 2, and Inquisition. They are all available on Origin and Steam. You can get the first two on Xbox and that generation, and Inquisition is on the most recent. You CAN get it on the previous as well, but I don't recommend it because graphically, it causes a lot of issues. If you mean Pokemon, that will take me longer to answer, lmao.
Oh wow. I've only been twice I think? Maybe someday! Good luck with yours, though!

Jadisnice artwork. well done, clearly a lot of work went into this. I like it.
of course, I don't have a clue what it's about because I've still not figured out what Homestuck is or where it is found. I see the cosplay of it at the convention I go to always, but never really figured out what Homestuck is. [although I've been told I wouldn't like it for bad language or immorality or some such] too bad it's over though, whatever it was , since it seemed to be well loved and cosplayed.

ArohkThank you very much for your comment!
I can direct you and tell you a little about it! Homestuck is a web comic that has been running for 7 years as of tomorrow, ending on the exact date it started on in 2009. It is about a group of 4 kids who think they are going to play a game, but it ends up being a real thing. The world is coming to an end- and it does end. Very early on. They are all sucked into the video game and have to play it and fight to create a new universe where they can recreate their lives. It is an epic comedy/tragedy. The art style and narrative takes some getting used to, and things don't truly heat up until Act 5 (like chapters). The characters have the most diversity out of any media- there are all kinds of representations, from being bi to pan canonically- as well as representation for the disabled. Wheelchair-clad characters, blind characters, deaf characters, and mentally challenged characters are all included and play vital, normal roles. It is a wonderful read and I encourage you to go and start if you find what I have to say about it interesting.
You won't be disappointed. It is highly praised for it's depth, it's amazing characters, and it's extremely witty sense of humor. It can be just as hilarious as it is sad. It is truly the best thing I have ever read. A lot of people would tell you that it is trash or is terrible, and they would be right- but this is the most honest comment that I can give you. Hopefully that explains a bit!
Here is the link to read it from the very first page if you would like to see it! It is completely free, and is an extremely long read. 10,000 pages with over 5 hours of animation and just about 500 musical compositions by people like Toby Fox and James Roach.

Jadisthank you for the explanation I understand much better now and have more respect. Thank you for the link,  I read a bit of it, but didn't have much time so I saved it to look at later. very interesting how it's set up like a game sort of.[you know what I mean right] It does have some language that is out of my comfort Zone so I'll read it when I'm in the mood to be tolerant of language.

Arohk on April 17, 2016, 7:20:29 PM

Arohk on
ArohkNo problem! It is a very epic journey with a lot of twists, turns, and a whole lot of effort put into it. The first Act is pretty hard to get through for some people just because of the raw humor and how very little story there seems to be. But once you are used to the way the narrative presents and the art style that you see (which does improve later as well), then you start to get drawn in. It is definitely set up like a choose-your-own-adventure game and with it's inventories and all of that jazz- but if you feel confused by sylladexes and the like, fear not, for it dies down after a little while.
I maybe should have warned you about the language- that definitely doesn't change and there are a few characters who go out of their way to say some really language-heavy things, so mind that if you do decide to continue to read. There is a lot of swearing, and that is definitely something that you have to consider if you are not comfortable with it. It didn't cross my mind or I would have warned you, sorry!

Jadis on April 17, 2016, 7:51:51 PM

Jadis on
JadisI actually liked the sylladexes and all that...and I was not surprised at the language as I expected it to be that way from what I had heard of it.

Arohk on
ArohkYou would be one of the few who actually really liked that! Hahah. Me included, I wanted to get to the story when I first started reading and I personally found those confusing at first. But alright! If you choose to continue reading, I am sure you will have a great time. c: It is quite the ride.

Jadislol..whoever wrote it must have like that sort of thing somewhat, or they wouldn't have done it. but yeah...

ArohkI have the physical copies of Homestuck and in them, they have author commentary. In the beginning, it was his specific brand of humor. He liked to organize them and found all of the hex codes and having an ironic, uncooperative inventory system to be funny. He knew that a lot of people didn't agree that it was funny, however, and after a while of it being a running, mostly slapstick gag, he decided to ease off in favor of the story.
But in short, Andrew definitely had a thing for it. He thought that all the ridiculous little details were a blast.
