Well, it's not really a tutorial, but you kinda get the flow of my art. This is how I complete the average request. Sketch, lineart, flats, background/shading, touchups.

You need to make a tutorial, Aspen. ;)
For now, however, this'll do.

BUT I have a question :D :

What exactly did you do in that last step?
I know that somehow you made her right side  like... whiter... but howwwww~

AspenAlright, tutorial, then. When my next request comes out, I'll explain it as well as I can.
The last step? I flattened all the layers, and then duplicated that layer. Then I blurred it with Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur. Then I just messed with the opacity on the blurred duplicate. Flattened again. It gives it a really ethereal, misty look.
Hope I explained that intellegibly.

TheUglyDucklingVery intelligably explained, indeed.

:D

That was actually very helpful :) I'll keep it in mind when I want to create that effect. :3

Well, I can't wait until the tut, and good luck on your requests!

AspenJust Adobe Photoshop 2. You could probably get it cheap on eBay or something. Personally I would like a more advanced version, but I don't really need it.

HawkfrostWhat program do you use for your art? I only have Adobe Photoshop (not sure what version, but an old one) and I know for sure it doesn't have some of the components yours does.

AspenI have Adobe Photoshop 2. Surely yours isn't older. XD What functions are you talking about?

HawkfrostWell, I guess I've only started using my PS for about five months, not really testing around but rather using it for certain add-ons, like white blur bgs and stuff... But the brush tool you were using is all swirly (in the top left of your PS browser bar) and I've never seen it. It's never given me the option to use that. And a couple other things that I cant put into words. Anyways.. I'm not sure. :P

LavaclawAspen, you have CS2 [creative suite 2]. That's version 9.0. There's only one that's ahead of that, and CS3 only came out about a month ago. I think that the lowest version that most people have is Photoshop 5.0. Is that what you have, Hawkfrost?

Also, CS2 is quite expensive. I got an upgrade for a little over $200... The actual program is somewhere north of $600. If you want a nice program like photoshop that's cheaper, try GNU, also known as GIMP. you can download it here.

AspenNo, I don't have CS2. Trust me. It's Adobe Photoshop Elements 2. As in the second version.

LavaclawOhhh... Elements. That'd make so much sense...
