I agree about the word spiffy, it is just so... spiffy =D Yea, isn't it funny how sometimes we just learn things in school because we have to and yet we never think about actually having to apply them to anything in real life? I do that every once and a while and it is just funny because it is like "Ooooh yeaahhhh! I spent three years of my life doing this, I DO know how!" ;)

haha yea it could definitely use a vanishing point. i was just kind of drawing whatever came to mind when i did this, without any real planning, so the background was kind of an afterthought. next time i draw a background i'm definitely gonna try using a vanishing point, tho (your tuturial pic is awesome!) heh i actually learned about them in grammar skool art, but i just never thought of applying them until now.
o and thanks very much! hehe spiffy is such a cool word

Very cool =)
While I know you have an excellent eye and can very accurately draw a picture you see in front of you, you draw some very creative and spiffy stuff when you draw from your mind ;)
I'm not saying that drawing from other pics is bad, in fact it is excellent! Drawing from other pics allows you to see how exactly things are done so you can learn them and apply them to your own drawings.
One thing that I think that would help this pic is if it had a horizon and a vanishing point. I talked about these in a new pic I posted, however they haven't accepted it yet so I can't provide the link. I actually had drawn that pic a while ago and only now got it posted =p When it gets approved I think that your vanishing point is in the top right corner (behind the door) and your horizon is pretty far away (thus the non-extreme diversity in angles given by the tops of the buildings and the railing).

I love her tattoos ;) I bet those hurt!
