This is when Ryes asks permission for Eshe's hand in marriage to Pharaoh's high priest. It's not common for priests worshipping different gods to marry, nevertheless have a pureborn Egyptian marry a once dirty merchant['s son]. It's even more apalling to see that Ryes took off his wig, fully showing to public his true roots [besides, lots of rich Egyptians wore wigs to show their wealth], but Eshe insisted to show himself in public.

Although Ryes' plan with the enemy kingdom is still under way [I'm thinking, Nubian] - the marriage being a part of the plan, due to Eshe's role as priestess of Sekhmet, the war goddess - he can't help but feel something about it. Something that is not according to plan.

I'm still doing some studying to see which period would be best suited for my story, so it can fit snugly in with Egypt's history without saying, "Hey wait, Cleopatra wasn't around Hatshepsut's time." D:

Art-wise, this is the crappiest I've done with markers. First, my copics started drying out [due to this extremely hot weather], so I had to run to the store to buy new ones. But instead of buying copics again, I bought prismas, which is completely different way of using it, I might add.

I still like it though. Just got to get used to it. I curse myself for not scanning in the lineart first... [scowls]

It's certainly awesome. I don't have any experience with Prismas, I'm more of a copic person. Well, not Prisma markers, at any rate. I like the costuming and the focal point and the colouring and... Well, I pretty much like every thing. But I mainly like how they're both on profile. That's pretty nifty, if I do say so myself. :3
