This. Took. FOREVER.

I really hope I have no spelling errors. That'd piss me off. D<

Anyway, this is a tutorial for coloring hair. Why is a doggie on the little preview button? No idea. Just wanted to put that there. Click the download button to see it, mmkay thanks.

Also, this is dedicated to AnimeMangaLover darling, because she just rocks my socks.

The finished picture I'll put up tommorrow, along with a nice little background about Aura [the girl in the tutorial].

[FYI, I used paint for the format. >D]

Toodles.

odiouswow this is very good. just wondering, do you make mangas? I would love to know how this style of coloring goes in with mangas. ???

Black_BreezeThank you, first of all. ^^ And no, I don't make mangas, I have no time for those. xD To answer your question, I would need more specification. What do you mean exactly...?

odiouswell in mangas they mostly use fills and patterns to do the hair so I just thought this technique would be a nice touch to a manga simply because its different and looks nice. I'd say it would give it a real lively feel.
I guess what I want to know is if you ever made a picture using this tech. that ventures in the manga category.

(oh no this post has too many words I don't like that. now I talk too much)

Black_BreezeHmm. Well, I never really tried to do a manga, so I guess my answer would be no. If I ever tried to make a page, then I think I would use this technique. However, regular manga artists would probably find this technique long and tedious because the actual process of making pages takes so long anyway. ^^;

I do have illistrations that use this technique, just not as a comic version, you know?
