Magic

Number 62 of the themes challenge, Magic.

Anyway, this picture was inspired while I was looking out the window and caught a look at our neighboring mountain, Mt. Hood. It got me thinking about the Native American myth I heard about from my sister when I was little, where Mt. Hood and Mt. Bachlor were men who fought over the beautiful woman who is now Mt. St. Helens. They fought over her a lot, and in the end, the gods got a bit ticked off and decided to turn all of them into mountains, so that they won't fight again. When they do fight, that's when St. Helens blows its top, hence the myth's explaination of the volcanoes around our fair state. D:

At least, I think that's how it went. I forgot what the exact telling was, all I remember was that I liked it.

So, this is my first picture completely drawn in photoshop. I like how it turned out, even though I didn't work particualarly hard on it and only proceeded with it in my spare time. Basically, the weird creature thing is the spirit of the mountain, and there's glowly trees and birds and... Stuff.
