Anyway, I painted this a few weeks ago to kinda get the hang of drawing leaves, it's nice and autumny, my favorite time of the year! I was also playing with composition etc as well...so yay, leaves!
Painted in tempra..took about 2ish hours...only because painting yellow over black takes forever!

Ahh! so beautiful too. That's true it is very difficult to paint with yellow over black. I've noticed that many great artist love autumn the best. I wonder why, maybe because of the nice colors and the serenity it has.

Yes, that's very true. To me there's nothing better than sitting next to the fire with a warm cup of cider and looking out to see snow dusting the bright leaves. It's rather romantic (not as in lovey-dovey, but like romanticism if you know what I mean)
