i love akito!! too bad akito is a girl... ya, akito is a girl. Its all in the 17th volume where kureno tells tohru that the curse was lifted on him and says he has to stay by akito because of it. Thats when he tells her that akito is a girl, and the only people who actually know it are himself, shigure, hatori and ayame

Only in the anime. In the manga, Akito is revealed to be female. It's a thing about male being the dominant gender and girls are "worthless..." so everyone refers to Akito as a male anyway. So it doesn't matter.

And I saw a fanart where people got into a HUGE argument about a character's gender. Let's try not to repeat history, mmmkay?

...This picture has made my day. Akito...is my everything. My friend is afraid of me because of my apparently unhealthy obsession.

And yes, I mean afraid; literally. I asked her if she really meant it when she said I needed to see a psychiatrist, and she said yes. Ouch.

Anyway, wow. This is a beautiful picture.
