Nailed Down

from a poem i wrote, called "Nailed Down" kind of expressing on how sometimes it feels like when your young, your parents nail you down so you won't leave and get in trouble, and how you want to break free so badly, but you just can't. and i just think thats how lots of kids feel. o.O don't mind me. i'm a wandering circus...<br />

Only frown<br />

Never had a friend in the world<br />
Talk to yourself<br />
Your mind spinning in circles<br />

You knock yourself down<br />

Try to lift your wings to break away<br />
But in the end your winds ignite with flames<br />

You knew the end was coming<br />
You knew it was predictable<br />

The end never came<br />

Haven't you ever been so nailed down<br />
In a struggle, you lose your time<br />
You smile you frame of life<br />
Your dreams they came crashing down<br />
Once you realized how badly you were nailed down<br />

Your dreams they blew up<br />
In a million pieces they scattered across the land<br />
In a million years they'll pull back together<br />
And prediction say<br />
You'll be nailed down until they reconfigure<br />
One day they’ll come back again<br />
And you’ll still be here<br />
Nails from here to there<br />
Your so nailed down<br />
I pity you,<br />
You can never have any fun. . . .
