It's always fun to test various techniques in digital art, as the results often look different than planned. :)

Six years ago I wanted to draw Penelope Pussycat as French 19th Century painters from Claude Monet's school would do http://www.fanart-central.net/pictures/user/TeeJay87/842889/2-in-1-Impressionist-Pussycat - it turned out more like a digital collage, but still worth posting.
