Woohoo its Spring Time! Thought I'd do a piece that tied in with the theme of Spring. Last night my friend was telling me that since it's spring, she was going to go out and go catch some butterflies. That was sort of a last minute inspiration to my drawing. Originally I was going to have a bird in the scene but I think butterflies works better for spring. Could have had more vibrant colors but I'm pleased with it as of now.

Thanks for the compliments. As for color I'm trying to play with warm and cool colors. The cool colors in shadow and the warmer colors in the lighter areas. The colors could be a lil bit more lively but right now they're kinda dull. Is that what you're trying to get at by it being odd?? If not, do you mind elaborating on it a bit, that way I don't make that same mistake again. Thanks!
