From a simple sketch I did after work. Kind of liked how the sketch turned out so I took it to Photoshop. I wasn't planning on posting it here but I figured it makes sense. We're all artists and we've all stayed up working on our art, hence being "Night Owls" haha

Lol I think night owl and artists just come hand in hand. Thanks for the compliments! Yeah I'm kinda digging this style. I need more work on this style. When I don't use lines, I tend to want to render and paint. With this one, I had to keep telling myself to keep it simple and clean. Limit the brush and just use more gradient bucket. BTW... CONGRATS on getting your piece featured on the home page!!

Wait, my picture got featured?! Oh wait, you mean my contest pictures? For those, I am required to draw feature-level pictures to even get it up there if I want to advertise the contests correctly. If you mean the popular works though, thank-you! Do you ever have time to join small contests here or there? It would surely set the bar!

Thanks! Glad you liked and favored it. I noticed you favored my hummingbird as well. Just out of curiosity. since they are both birds and are both done whimsically...what rendering style do you prefer? i don't know i like the toony look of the owl but i also like the colors and style of the Hummingbird too
Love the clear lineart and shading! Reminds me of PIxar!
