Obsideon

Entry for Tuxedo_Mini_Mask's Pokemon contest. This one's a Rock Type Eeveelution. The name's derived from "Obsidian", a particularly dark semi-precious stone (although there are lighter variants).

Drawn with HB pencil, inked with 0.3 drawing pen, coloured with felt tips. Background was an ink colour wash, edited with Microsoft Photo Editor. Comments welcome! :)

Evolution Level:Any. Eevee evolves into Obsideon if it grows to love its trainer, through levelling up, and in a cave or mountain environment (such as Mt. Moon or Mt. Coronet).

Description:Gemstone Pokemon. Each deeply shaded facet of Obsideon’s body glows with a slightly different colour. When running, this Pokemon appears to be made of a million shards of light, and can dazzle any opponent. Its rock-like body can withstand many powerful physical attacks and provide excellent camouflage in caves or mountainous areas. Although it looks quite huggable, it’s probably best not to try petting it as its sharp corners can easily break the skin.
