Jygzor

A puzzle-themed critter who's been a long time in the making. Originally I wanted it to be two separate creatures that "clicked together" like a jigsaw to make a whole animal, but getting the two smaller creatures to look coherent was too tricky. Its name's a play on the word jigsaw.

Jygzor is a puzzle – literally. This strange creature consists of many large, chunky jigsaw pieces clotted together. The pieces seem to be held together by a mysterious force, meaning it never has to worry about accidentally leaving a leg behind somewhere or losing a bit of its ear down the back of the armchair. Jygzor’s biggest fear is water: while it doesn’t make its puzzle pieces peel, it does leave it feeling a bit soggy and makes its feet bend into odd shapes, making it very difficult to walk. The most effective cure for soggy-foot is a nice, long rest on a large sheet of blotting paper.
