Skua Reference Sheet

Yes yes, I know no one draws my skua creatures. But I don't care. If anyone wants to, here are the rules, on the sheet.

Skuas are a creature I made up, obviously. They're intelligent creatures with their own language (much like a big cat's regular body language) and are capable of speech (tho it's limited) They have their own feelings, history, society, and even religion (if that's what you want to call their way of living)

They live near large bodies of water, in groups of about 2-15. They are capable of living on their own, but prefer living with each other. They are canivorous, but eat mostly sea life. Considering that they're winged creatures, one wouldn't think they lived near the ocean. Well, most prefer it that way, so they can keep their "water lung" full, in case they need to protect their group. Some also live in the mountains, by themselves, where they don't come in contact with any other animals. Those only come down to the water to fill their water lung.

Their water lung holds in one of their attacks. If a Skua inhales water, the water goes straight to the water lung (can also prevent a skua from drowning) The water mixes with a type of acid that burns skin, but not the skua's insides. When a skua uses it's water lung, it sprays out a jet-stream of really really hot water (the water mixed with the acid in the water lung) and burns the victim. This attack only temporaliy stuns the victim, so the skua must either fly, or use it's brute strength to fight. For aerial fighting, the skua can only do so much. It can rarely use it's water lung in the air, or else it'll interfere with their breathing. A skua usually uses the daggers on the sides of their wrists to cut their opponent when close to them. To use it, the skua must get a good speed going towards the opponent, fold up their wings (just enough not to hit them on anything) and then strike (then it must open it's wings back up before it loses control and falls)

A skua does not have fur all over it's body, it has feathers. The most important feathers (when flying) are the longer ones on it's back legs. Those longer feathers, help a skua steer when flying. It's long tail makes a good rutter as well, but the feathers do most of the work.

Their wings are odd. They're very much like a normal bird's wings, but it has a very human-like shoulder. When folded, the skua can turn it around like a human arm, so that the feathers don't drag and get ruined, while walking.

These are just really really basic things about a skua...It's late and i don't feel like writing more. So enjoy. I'll have more shoot up eventually XD
