OMG OMG OMG! Henry and I talked for an HOUR on this awesome idea for Cyrus and Cita! For a LONG time, they've NEEDED a story and we've come up with it! Here's the basic gist of it:
Typically, there is a world, somewhere, similar to our own. But only similar community-wise. But if one should commit a crime or a sin, the gods place a curse on them. Every sin they commit, they gain another curse to their body. These curses are basically parts of the human body, that disappear and are replaced with body parts of monsters or animals. The gods that decide their fate watch their every movement and can read their every thought. Nobody knows how many gods there are, but they're there. These gods are mischievious and enjoy toying with these people. To them it doesn't matter what one's intentions are when committing a crime or sin. It that the person has committed a sin is why they're cursed. This society is similar to the one in "The Scarlet Letter": if someone commits a crime or sin, everyone knows, by the physical (or mental) curse placed on your body. The curse may be lifted, however, whoever wants the curse lifted, must do something in return for these gods.
Living in this world can be dangerous. If someone has a mental curse placed on them, they can kill without warning. WHich is what brother and sister, Cyrus and Citalalli, believed to be the death of their parents. Their parents died when they were young, and haven't yet learned right from wrong and are left to wander the streets. Until a cult member stumbles upon them and makes the children a part of them. The cult (which is only local; there are many more of the same scattered about the country) is called the ROTG (Revenge On The Gods [at least until I think of something better, it sounds WAY too Ku Klux Klan) The cult believes that their own actions are the gods' fault and therefore commits every crime and sin in spite of them, at least until they can somehow kill all of the gods. Cyrus and Cita are active members of this cult. Cyrus (even though he is older) has committed less crimes than Cita. His feet, face, and skin were cursed with every sin he committed. He hasn't committed many sins for the clan because he is more likely to betray them, when he gets older, than Cita is. So while they send her on more missions, her body is almost entirely taken over by curses, that the only thing left of her human (true) form is her voice. Cyrus can't stand to see his sister suffer in the body she's in, so he betrays the cult in order to get the both of them to escape. He fails, and is about to be killed, but Cita loses her mind and kills every member of the cult they were in. It is another sin she has committed, and her body is cursed one more time (the wings). She collapses, and Cyrus (in a very beat-up state) drags her body (keep in mind he's still young, probably about 13) about the city, trying to get her some medical attention, but to no avail. Eventually, an old woman sees them from her house and welcomes them. She took care of them, but seeing that they were cursed several times, she was a very strict caretaker. She made Cyrus go to school, since he was more human of the two (she homeschools Cita, so that she isn't ridiculed for how many crimes/sins she's committed)
Still somewhat "brainwashed" by the cult, Cyrus still hold revenge against the gods, and still seeks to kill them, but at the same time he and Cita are to face the rath of vengence from the other cults.
Oh, what is a poor Beastman to do? XD
So, yeah that's it BASICALLY. Very basic. Still have more to add, but I hope someone read this! LoL
Many thanks to Henry for helping me!!
