CHILLED Preview #1 page 001

ooh very nice :D the...what's that called? screentones? the gray stuff! the grayness is really well done. I like the way he's highlighted up in that tree in the first panel. Wait, is that the first, or is this right to left? I just realized that I don't even know o_o I guess I'll figure out in the pages to come ^^' Oh, and also with the gray stuff, event hough most of it is really awesome, I think you forgot to color in in a few places: that last bit of tree in the top left of the last panel, and most of the background of the middle right panel. The expressions are all really good, each one is very well done and different :D Same goes for the eyes ^.~ Nice profile view of the boy -- good pic and he's obviously very freaked out/sad. The hands and clothes folds are all really great too, except in that last panel his hand looks really weird and I can't really tell what's going on with it. ooh that one kid watching him is really mean! I noticed she (he?) looked more fascinated that appalled that the kid is falling in the end, but I just now saw that she was smiling mischievously from the beginning xD Hm...

Yeah, the shading is kind of difficult. My placing of the tree branches in the middle right one make it look like I forgot. I wasn't sure if I could get away without drawing more tree branches in that one, but I guess I didn't tee hee! :3 Thanks for pointing it out.
I tried to give the mid left one some highlight on his face by leaving the background blank, it took away from the effect with the dark background >.<;
Before I started using the inking pen I got from Copic Markers at the Copic booth at ACEN '08 I was using a regular hotel-hand-out pen to ink, and a lot would go wrong with it... like that hand... Things get better though! lol
Tee hee there are 2 I think you might be talking about and one definately up to something (glad you noticed! ^-^ )
