Personality: I can't really think of much to tell about myself... I am a quiet woman, and since the Utroms left, I have led a quiet life. I do not speak to many... I simply live my life as peacefully as I can since... IT happened. I was once the lover of Hamato Yoshi, and a guardian like him... but much can change a woman, and the Utroms are thankfully a very forgiving people.<br />

It is difficult to make friends when you have spent so much of your life away from people... but I believe I am learning. I am most often very shy and withdrawn, but I try not to let that get in the way of the things I enjoy doing. I work as a seamstress in Chinatown, handmaking fine silk clothing... and I have managed to accumulate a substantial state of wellbeing through it.<br />

History: Once one of the Guardians, Tang Shen was a talented martial artist, trained in wushu, and skilled with kodachi (short swords). It was by a stroke of luck that she met Hamato Yoshi, and the two became fast friends. Shen was quite fond of the little rat he kept, often bringing him bananas, avocado, and corn. It did not take long for Shen and Yoshi to become much closer than just friends... Mortu found this quite interesting, witnessing a stable human relationship in two of his own guardians. Soon after, Yoshi proposed marriage to Shen, and she was overjoyed to accept.<br />

Shen was busy in town, getting treats for Splinter and things to make a full Chinese meal for she and her fiance, when the news reached her. Hamato Yoshi had been attacked and killed, and his pet rat was gone. Shamed, Shen pleaded her case before the Utroms... she had failed as a Guardian, and wished to leave. After she swore an oath of secrecy, Mortu - always of a gentle and forgiving mind - allowed her to leave. She has since lived alone and away, trying to start a new life past the memories... until she meets a boy with ties to her old love...<br />

Tang Shen, if anyone remembers, was a character used in one of the multiple TMNT creation stories. After watching the movie the other day, this idea popped into my head, and here she is... Tang Shen, a Guardian of the Utroms like Hamato Yoshi himself. The storyline I ended up with was one I ended up quite proud of...<br />
<br />
Shen will appear in a story entitled "Farewell, Hero", a one-shot that gives a little more depth into Hamato Yoshi's history and provides a lot more insight on the way I write Splinter.<br />
