So, it seems that my enduring love for YuYu Hakusho showed itself once more in this picture. I knew that I was copying Toya when it came to the blade of ice sprouting from his arm, but I didn't intend the hair to look so similar as well. Ah, oh well. Their personalities are polar opposites, however (no pun intended). It's a shame that an ice user's options are so limited, but the options they do have are pretty frickin' awesome. Also, Geldan (that's his name, by the way) does not control ice. He controls water, and by using the powers of that mark on his left hand, he can control the temperature of the water under his command. In this way, he can turn his water into ice, but not ice that was that way before he came into contact with it. Like, if you put him in an ice rink, he couldn't do anything with that, but put him in a pool and he could freeze it.
So Geldan is an interesting character, in my opinion. He's a serial killer, mostly targeting women after seducing them, as he's also quite the womanizer. His favorite method of killing is to freeze the woman's bodily fluids as he kisses her, since he can control the temperature of liquid he comes in contact with. Fun stuff :) Also, he's very impulsive. He does what he wants and gets what he wants, when and how he likes it.
On the matter of the picture itself: I like it. I like the water and ice effects, which are both pretty new to me. I'm not overly fond of the coat hanging from his arms. Folds in fabric are really difficult, and I'm going to have to practice that some more. I love his hair and expression, and his hands are pretty good too, in my opinion.
