StAy UnDeR My WiNg

"Stay under my wing..." a male voice spoke in the ebony night. There was a pause before the voice came up again, " it's the least I can do since you still feel nothing but hatred towards me...", the sound of a body shifting and a wing stretching out in the open awoke Mira from her odd sleeping post. She narrowed her pale azure eyes toward the outstretched wing of the male bird before her.
" I don't need your pity..., " she replied icily, " I can handle the air without your damn aid..." She huffed and ruffled her feathers to try to warm herself up from the bitter air. She didn't need any help, she could make through the night without anyone, right? She thought quietly as she glanced a few times at the male bird known as the villainous NOS-4-A2.
' Stubborn as a mule as the humans say; is she stupid or what?! ' Random outburst of thoughts ran through his motherboard. He wasn't at all a full organic living body, he looked like it... but the inside of him was robot and electronic. He looked weird, he thought as he looked at his reflection from a broken glass shard nearby his post.
Mira's glances went unnoticed as she continued to stare at NOS's comfortable posture against the chilly air. She felt her envy towards him burning her mind. Why couldn't she be at ease like him around this stupid air. Hisses and random noises sounded out of her. Why, ohh why did she refuse his aid? 'Because she needed to stand her ground and keep her distance!' She thought out loud. ' But there's no one else but you and him around, no one will know... ' a random voice came into her mind. " Says who? " Mira argued back out loud, causing NOS to raise a few eyebrows.
' Who she talking to? ' NOS's own thoughts ran through him as he watched Mira consult with herself. ' What was wrong with her? ' he avoided looking at her for long periods of time . ' Perhaps the air got to her, and is slowly making her brain cells circulate at a very slow pace.
Anyway, he still wasn't gonna bother to reason with her.
He couldn't... not right now at least...
A mere of 7 to 8 hours of silence passed between the two.
Mira had trembled violently through the hours that passed, which seemed like years to her. Her eyes were shut tightly and her beak opened a few times to get some air. NOS on the other hand watched with slight worry in his eyes. ' The more she keeps this up, the faster she'll die from the lack of warmth. ' he thought. He growled and sighed, ' this needs to stop', he thought. Without warning he stretched his wing yet again and clasped it around Mira's freathy body. He felt his inner systems racing fast as he nervously rubbed his beak and neck on top of her head to soothe her discomfort.
Mira eyes shot open, but her body was to weak to protest... so she gave in to what he had to offer her. As long as no funny business started up, then everything will be fine... At least for now...
