Description
This is an old Japanese Print that I found in a book, and absolutly fell in love with. The original print is called Encounters with Elegance: At the Dressing Table. The artist, Kikuawa Eizan mostly did portraits of women with doll-like faces during the early Bunka era (1804-1818). This style soon changed to a more realistic sense at the start of the Bunsei era (1818-1830).
I drew her without a face to leave, with the most part, the originality to the artist, but also because I didn't like the way faces were done in Japanese prints.
I hope this is good enough to call a tribute to him.
