Show Me The Light

Misty and Dennis hid under their capsized boat on the shore, and it was night when they awoke. Dennis, frightened of the dark, was paralyzed with fear. A firefly landed on Misty, and she jumped back because of her discomfort with bugs. But when she looked at Dennis and saw how terrified he was, she picked up their bottle and caught the fireflies in it, despite being afraid herself. After rubbing his head, Misty showed him the bottle with the fireflies in it. For a moment, he forgot his fear. Impressed by her, he got up on his knees, and she sat beside him.

"Remember, if you're ever afraid of the dark, remember this song," Misty said, and she sang:

♪ Show me the light ♪ Someone to lead and guide me ♪ Show me the light ♪ A love to stand beside me ♪ Show me the light ♪ When I fear the dark ♪ A ray of sunshine ♪ A rainbow's arc ♪ Show me the light ♪

The two embraced the bottle as they sang in harmony.

This is my tribute to Miss Rachael Lillis, who was claimed by cancer over the summer. Rachael was the youngest of six sisters, who, along with their father, now have to live life without her light. On the bright side, she is now reunited with her mother.
