MY first submitted work. this is Niila...or as close to her as i can draw her, whats in my head never makes it to paper. i have tryed to draw her several times but this is the best one so far and the one i am showing, since im new to this forgive me if its not good, i will get better i promise and i dont mind tips or constructive criticism. Niila is one of many character i have made and eventually want to draw but i stared with her and need to nail down how to draw people (anime/Manga style). one foot is not detailed with toes because i couldn't get em right at that angle. any way too much talking..so here she is Niila...on a tree stump...

This is good Hey that's why they say practice makes perfect
You know what good practice to draw a doll No I'm not talking about Barbie I'm talking about those wooden dolls The ones where you could put to sit down stand up or Run
If you need any more tips on how to Draw a person just ask me on my page And don't worry if I take too long I may just be busy but I'll get back to you if you ask me a question

This is actually not bad for someone who is trying to draw a character for the first time. You should see my pictures when I started drawing! The best thing really is to keep on drawing, it may take many crumpled papers to do this, but like the previous comment said, "Practice makes perfect."
If you want me to constructively criticize your picture, I would say that if you're going to draw a female, I suggest drawing less muscle. If you're intending to make a very active female character, create tone instead of creating larger limbs. It creates imbalance to the character face if you're making them cute. I understand that sometimes you have to look at yourself to create the pose you want, but you don't have a female build (I certainly don't either!) Find pictures of actual female models and study their poses; where you find them is totally up to you. Your body proportions are okay, but the pose is a bit stiff. But that's to be expected for someone who just started drawing.
Watching someone draw on the spot is another good way to get yourself familiar with some of the techniques for drawing. Don't get discouraged if you think you can't draw like them, although sometimes it happens. I have those kinds of episodes every now and then. Every person has their own style of drawing and you are just merely sinking in information for yourself so you can create your own style of art. Most of us didn't get to where we're at right now if it we didn't see someone else do it. If they can do it, so can you!
Actually, this is an excuse to ask if I can use this character to draw a giftpic for you, as promised from before. But I don't want to just draw it without your OK, it's your character!
