The reason why, well it was last night<br />

My sister was in an happy mood ((or so it seemed at least)) especially about her drawings and het Ray-comic<br />

I was drawing some OSWY myself, and when it was time for bed she wanted to see what I had drawn<br />
<br />
I had drawn sumthing happening and she said she found it rather 'random' - after that she continued her hyperness about her own drawings, drooling and adoring - <br />
<br />
and I shouldn't feel this way, but I became extremely depressed because of it - knowing that I could never achieve the same level as her, because 1) she had more determination and passion 2) when she was my age she was even ten times better than I am now<br />
<br />
I was lying on my bed, hearing all her stories and excitements of all the drawings she had drawn over the past few years - and it made me hate my own comic more and more<br />
<br />
I'll probably will draw OSWY further, but I won't post it here, neither will I show it to my sister, but I don;t want to be so weak as to just not finish it - <br />

It's kind of hard to explain, and some of you probably think that I'm just being a big baby about this - But it really depressed me, realising my comic is just crap, and that my drawing is so very far from good<br />

I just sat here and read your whole OSWY and noticed how much BETTER you are now! You and your sister have two different styles, both are totally awesome. Awe... I really love your comic. Believe me, i know its hard to continue something for a long time, but there will always be a pain because you did not finish what you started. I love your art, personally. Thank you, THANK YOU for deciding to try and stick with it!! ^___^ I know how you feel, just thinking that all that work was for nothing and it isn't as good as you think it should be, but as you can see by these comments, you aren't the only one who has an opinion about it!Because you posted it on the internet, people have seen and read it, and they love it, so if you act on only your feelings about the comic, feelins that may (and hopefully will) fade with time, you'll be upsetting a lot of people. I think we'd all really appreciate it if you blow off the horrible feelings, screw the thought of your sister being continuesly and inevitably better than you at drawing (cause we all know it isn't true) and keep with it for a while.
And if, after a bit, you really don't think you can continue it, then you an end it if you so choose, but please, at least give it a proper burial should the need arise! A good ending pic or something, but until then, we hope that that day will not come for a long time, not until you actually FINISH O.S.W.Y., not just when you lose hope for it. Please keep going as long as you can, and thank you for deciding to give it a shot and try.

oh plz don't give up i love ur OSWY story its sooo cool i can't even draw a comic and reading urs and seeing how much better u get every time it makes me thing that i can do it to. I know how you feel. I don't have a sister, but I have artist friends who are ... so amazing and I'm really envious of them. Also, there's my dad who's constantly critical because he's a famous comic creator and artist...But see... look at all the comments you're getting! People love your comic and your art. You're a really good artist!

Hey eggie je kent me niet zoals zoveel hebben geschreven.Maar ik volg je comic al heel lang en ik vind 'em net als de rest hier heel leuk.
Jij hebt een oudere zus die geweldig kan tekenen en jij kan dat ook. Nou is je zus bijna 20 en jij nog lang niet dus je hebt nog een lange weg te gaan.(nou kan het zijn dat ze volgens jou mooier kon tekenen op jou leeftijd maar daar moet jej je niks van aantrekken)
Je hebt veel comments gehad dat houdt in dat er veel je comic lezen en achter je staan.
en niet denken dat ik zomaar aan het lullen ben want ik heb een oudere broer en die kan ook geweldig tekenen en daar kom ik helemaal niet eens in de buurt van met mijn tekeningen.
Hij tekent geen manga maar ik word er helemaal depri van als ik het zie( en het erge is dat hij het er ook nog inwrijft)
maar goed je moet zelf weten wat je doet maar vergeet niet dat er zat zijn die weer niet in de buurtr van jou komt -zoals ik.

Don't worry. we ALL have days like that and we all have the same problems with the same sort of things. the hardest thing to do is keep going but in the end, you'll be glad you did. dont give up coz your great! you've got too much talent to give up just like that. don't take the easy way out, keep going. UR jokeing... right? i mean, seriously, you can't just drop a story in the middle just becuse some prepy had her head in the clowds like normal!! look at me! i got kicked off of FF.N and i hated to write anymore! i gave it up for months just because one person didn't like my stuff... but so many people were "yelling" at me, and i got even more depressed, and i hate letting people down, so i started up again. now i can't get enough time to jot all my ideas down.
i suggest that you give it one more try... 'cause you never know what might happen. even if one person doesn't like you, there are so many more that do.
one person hated me, and i hated my self for a long time; i still do if someone decides not to go past chapter one of one of my tales. but i still try. come-on, once more for the Gipper? (the late President Ronald Regan, but that's not the point.)
yes, one person might change the world, but the belif in yourself is the stongest ther is. don't give up, find that little spark in the dark, and let it catch the wood of hope. just let me know if you need anything. my e-mail's on my profile if you do, i always have a shoulder to lean on, and an ear that is really good at listening... not hearing, but listening.

hi, you don't really know me ^^; but still, i love your comic, i've been following it for a long time and i just love the story and the plot and the characters, i do know how it feels to see ppl better then me ^^ your one of them, you are way better then me. Yes i'm aware sometimes artist get into these blocks and just can't seem to wanna draw more, it'll pass and something will inspire you to do more. Hey, I just want to say, I know you probably cant help feeling that way, older sister and all, both of you doing the same type of thing. I do however think you have a really good thing with OSWY. But you do what you want to do. I hope you can overcome it tho, just draw what you feel and do whatever it takes until you're at the level you know you want for your comic. Or new one. I have the same hope to draw a comic and I'm not even close as good as you are. You'll still be a cool role for me look up to, I'm trying to get the drawing someone over and over again thing down. Okay, listen and listen well. You are your own person. Don't listen to your sister, even if she is a good artist. I draw my own stuff, my sister draws her own stuff. She's better at some things, I'm better at some things. She's pretty, I'm not so pretty. Get over it. I lsiten to her ramble on about her war story she's writing, she listens to my shoujo sounding stuff. I envy her, she envies me. It's a continuos cycle of envinous. Believe me, I've started manga then stopped before page five. You've done something I only wish to do. You've gone over a hundred pages. I congratulate you. Your comic isn't as good as your sister's, that may be true, but you're still good in your own way.. I have a friend who's a great artist, but i still keep drawing, hoping that one day i'll achieve a style all my own, and be on level ground with her. Talent never stops coming. It's always there, you just slowly mold it over time...just keep drawing, and you'll see it when you've gotten better and become closer to achieveing your own unique style. OMG! PLEASE DONT STOP THIS SERIES! I absolutely adore OSWY!!! I understand how you feel because I feel like that all the time....but PLEASE dont quit! I LOVE OSWY!!!! You are an amazing talented artist! Dont let anyone tell you otherwise! And besides, your sister is not so much better then you! I think your style is just different from hers! eggplant....i'm going to be honest, i felt the same way about u and yur sista. not depressed but i felt like i could never make a yaoi as good as u guyz do, or draw as nice as u guyz could. But i didn't give up on my drawings or making a comic. I am gonna stick with it. Even if u guyz are better then me. And besides, what does it matter if yur sister is better than u? U have yur own skill and talent, and u should be proud of it. what ever u decide is up 2 u,

Okay, ik typ dit maar even in het Nederlands, want dan kom ik veel beter uit mijn woorden *sigh*Ik wil iig even zeggen dat ik je tekeningen én comic geweldig vindt. Iedereen heeft een andere stijl, en zo is dat dus ook tussen jou en je zus. Dit houdt niet in dat de één slechter tekent dan de ander.
Ik hoop dat je verder gaat met het posten van je werk hier.
Ik zie wel of je deze comic nog verder post, maar ik vind het iig niet saai, standaard of wat dan ook. En je gedraagt je al helemaal niet als een 'baby', want zo voel ik me ook als iemand zo negatief doet. En iedereen zou zich zo voelen, daar ben ik zeker van.

Maybe I just oughta stop for a couple of weeks and then see again if I wish to continue - if I decide to stop drawing, I could write out the rest of the story and then post it in the writing-section if you'd likebut I'll just draw some pages and see if the story satisfies me (not posting) - hope it's just a temporarily slump *sighs*

oh I'm soory. I read both and I like her's as much as yours. Do stress and take a liitle vaction or just start a new story but I do want to know what happens and wish there was a way for you to show us but this is your decition. I will still check out your stuff and I think that if your sis knew how you felt, she say she was sorry and maybe even try to help... if that's what you want.
