I want to thank you Srtatadrake for the comments on my sketches. I wanted to let you know though, that in this particular sketch, the ribbon looking thing rapping around his wing is really a ribbon. He has 2 ribbons really...Thanks again for your comments! I really start to notice things when I read them!

"Junky poo"...? If you're referring to the paper's rough texture, you should be able to adjust your scanner settings brighter so that most of it will wash out into a solid color.

Anyway, on to this dragon. The sketchy quality rules. Are these feathery wings? If you want to master the feathers, you can check out some of the wing tutorials we have in the "Tutorials" section. Feathers are always cool. Now, the dragon's right wing I'm not so sure how it's posed, because when tracting the limb, it appears to bend forwards at 100-degrees rather than continue on with the contour of that wing. Minor nit though.

This dragon's tail confuses me a litle as well. Tracing the tail down from the right, there's a spot located about where the forepaws are where its contours converge, yet the tail keeps going for awhile. The way you sketched it out makes much of the tail seem, I don't know, sort of "ribbony" to me, not my style. When drawing a tail, the contours generally shouldn't intersect, and the thickness of the tail should generally taper down gradually from thick to thin as you approach the end of the tail (they don't go from thick to thin to thick again).

And where are the rear legs? ...Nah, forget about it; I've rambled on long enough. The dragon's fairly cool for a sketch, and did I mention I love feathery wings?
