Lols I kinda went a little over board with the sparkles and shinyness..but hey when you're working on a drawing in 5 in the morning you tend to do everything over board..Anyway, I do kinda like this one, at first I didn't but now that it's finished I really think I did a nice job :)

Actually there are borders but they are very, very thin. They are there though, just I pretty much fade them out. And the shadow thing is only because of the effects that I used from jasc paint shop, but the no outline thing is something I'm trying to do and go for a more smoother, rounder sort of thing. But I agree with you that it could be better, I just really didn't like this one from the start anyway so I didn't really bother with it ^^;

But, the colouring of the pony itself is really confusing. You can't see the outlines of it, which the main problem of colouring without borders like you do. In the case of dark colours, it requires a very awesome l33t understanding of light sources and shadows, which, and no offense, you don't have (and neither do I).
Overall, it's a pretty piece, but it could be better.
