I mean anything is better than the ending we got retuning his groceries not likely the buff dude was following him before he dropped his groceries

I figure he could breathe water in a shower

so here is a random aftermath 

I guess sandy bailed him out after finding out how the guy who went after squid only returned his food as a ploy 

and they guy confesses after a bit of karate by sandy replacing squidward in jail

now he is getting some time alone with sandy suggesting they hit the shower and squidward is gonna get lucky
