The Jobless Duo

My two characters Tokita Lance (upper left) and Sugisaki Syou (bottom right). They're for a manga I'm writing that takes place in the Get Backers' world so there are some cameos of the characters from that but barely. The manga doesn't have a name yet, me and my friend are still thinking about that but we got a general plot for the first two manga or so.

Lance and Syou start off as completely unaware of each other's existance. Lance is a street punk who works as a bouncer and Syou works as a well paid journalist. Due to Lance's brillance at handling situations, both of them get fired and are forced to live together to be able to support themselves. Now they both hate each other dearly, and as long as neither of them has enough money to live on their own, they're stuck with each other. Lance keeps bringing in jobs for them but each one proves unworkable, either for health reasons or they have something sinister going on in the background.

Whenever the two find themselves in a dangerous situation due to these crummy jobs, they can easily worm out of it thanks to their unnatural abilities. Due to an accident during a gang fight, Lance has the ability to shape his energy into a large immitation of a hydra and he has demi super strength (not like Ban's OMG BREAK THROUGH CONCRETE! kind of strength). Syou on the other hand was trained to have his powers. He comes from the Sugisaki clan, a family who have been perfecting the technique of weilding ice, allowing Syou to manipulate ice and shape it into any form he wants (mostly like weapons: swords, maces, whips, bows etc). He didn't complete all his training however since he grew sick of his family trying to control his life and ran away.

Thats the general idea for now but we're flushing out the main idea plot still.
