It is interesting to work with watercolor and crayons. You can make night scenes and many other things with the wax. you should try to just color with crayon (incuding white if needed) and then go over with watercolor directly over the crayon. It looks really cool.Try to keep the paper flat especially when working with water. The less water you use, the less warped the paper becomes.
Great job on the picture I definitely see improvement. :)
