Psychedelic Smackdown

Description

This is one of those things I keep hidden down the bottom of my box of drawings...just to pull out now and then to say "I did try painting once."

It looks weird because I did this for an assignment. We had to paint something, but replace the colours we saw with something different.

Don't be alarmed...I will be resuming with my normal style shortly...just thought I'd show a bit of stuff that shows my journey to what I'm doing these days.

Ah, but see, you've made the colors work together. So, even if you don't know about color theory, you make it seem like you do. XD

I love the color choices! I also love the design aspect - the flat, solid colors as opposed to shading or gradients. Makes it more masculine, somehow.

Whoa...thank you very much. I'm deathly afraid, and too self-conscious, to use colour (that isn't computer assisted) so you've made me happy.

I was painting The Rock, so it was pretty masculine to start with. :P

I was thinking that maybe someone who saw it would think..."That G76...he really has no sense of colour." So I thought I should explain that it wasn't my choice to get freaky with the colours. Someone made me. :(

But anyway...danke. You make me wish I painted more.

Whhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooooah~!!! But-but-but it's so amazing!!! *O* I love art that works with colors like this; it's absolutely amazing. And it's better than any feeble attempt at painting I've ever done, haha. (I've actually worked with a really, really limited span of media... kinda ashamed of myself for that... >>; )
But this is just brilliant. You should post more of this stuff; it's really beautiful, and really interesting, too. :) I don't mind.

I think it's the colour replacement that saves the picture. :P Not sure how good it would be if I tried it in the proper colours.

I've rarely moved past pencil...but I have found some other 'interesting' experiments...so maybe I will unload some of that on the world...meh heh heh...
