Another background from that house with the billiard/pool room.

Yikes. Stairs are tricky at an easy angle. This is just insanity. D: A...and that carpet. Actually, I never know how to decorate carpets, so I should leave this drawing out as a guide or something.

I really don't know where I got the patience for this.

marschiboiwow, thats like...yes, it is insane. and soo beautiful. there might be lots of spiders. and you couldnt go to the loo at night without waking up everyone else in the house with those creaky floor boards...but it must be cool to live there ;)

G76XD I once lived in a house exactly like you described. The floor had these really old wood panels that would creak whenever you walked down the hallway. D: And to get to the toilet I had to walk past everyone else's bedroom...and no matter how lightly you tried to walk, those panels would creak with every step.

And...once you did that...the toilet was OUTSIDE! Arrgghhh! In winter...terrible.

G76Yes. Very terrible. And...that cold cold seat. D: I think I learnt to not go to the toilet so much during winter.

Trinity_FireI can't for the life of me figure out where the hell you get the patience for this. D:< I would totally just watercolor/blow off the whole thing with vague blobs and the like.

...Did I mention I love you? 8D This stuff is flippin' BRILLIANT, MAN. Seriously, the carpet, and a million bonus points for those stairs, man. Wicked. The banister, particularly, and how it fades off....

And the touch of cobwebs is really nice~♥
Your amazingness just blew my brain straight out the window. ...But I can't look away from the screen. @__________@ (Oh well, it's okay, it's cold 'nuff round here to freeze it for now; too bad we haven't gotten more than a sprinkling of invisible snow so far. :( )
...This is TOTALLY my reference if I were to someday actually pick up enough courage/patience/throw out the pride enough to attempt drawing a BG. D:

G76I...invisible snow? D: That's another type of snow you didn't tell me about.

I really really don't know where I got the patience either. Maybe because it was different, and something I'd never really focused on. The mission was to try and do a finished background, with good perspective, so I think I must've been committed to that mission. When there's characters involved...yeah...that committment disappears pretty quickly.

I choose to take those million bonus points, pocket them and use them at my descretion. <3

Trinity_FireWell, no, it's not actually invisible... it's kind of when it's snowing (i made up the term myself on the spot, hahaha) that you can't really see until the car has stopped moving, and you'd not even realize it was snowing if looking out a window or anything for a while.
Also, it was the tiniest of flurries and nothing stayed on the ground. :(

G76Ahhh...so it was...sneaky snow. XD Sounds a bit like a snowglobe. That still sounds nice.

supergirlcomixOhhhhh...I adore the old feel of the place. <3 You certainly can draw a room!! (I always have vauge 2D background peices...har har) I adore the leafy patterned rug, and the swoosh of the door handels. It's fabulous that you ACTUALLY DRAW WOOD GRAINS <3 The door off it's hinge is a great touch!

G76When I saw that door off the hinge I thought "Damn, I didn't draw it straight." XD Then I remembered it was supposed to look like that. :P

When I draw characters, most of my backgrounds end up as pretty vague 2D things too. I always have trouble matching the figure up with the surroundings, so I just kinda fake my way through it. When it's just a background though, I try and get all the 3D perspective right. And I'm always ready to draw some wood grain. XD

angelfoxoooooh, nice! XD You cant really tell, but it kinda looks like a haunted house. ^_^

G76Thank you. =) I was going for a bit of a haunted house feel. I did that room at the bottom of the stairs there, and I tried to 'haunt' it up a little bit for that one.
