I haven't coloured anything for awhile, and I was beginning to get an itch about doing something. So today I draw this, inked it and then coloured it. The thing that got me excited about doing it was I was going to attempt this zooming swimming pose, with bubbles and schools of fish...but I just couldn't get it to work. And I was rapidly losing motivation, so I switched the pose to something else.

Something else happened I wasn't expecting. There are so many 'first time' things on this. For the colouring. I've never attempted half of the stuff on here. Some of it turned out not too bad, but some still needs a lot of work...or alternately, I just won't do it ever again. =P

russbjusticeNot a bad job at all on this gay characture at all, just not a big fan of Aqua Man. I thought they did a good job on the portrayal on smallville tho. Anyway, as for this I think the shadows could use some work but other than that another great pic from you. :)

G76Thanks. I've never really bothered shading before, but I'm trying out some things here and there, so this was an experiment in shading more than anything.

supergirlcomixThe water looks great! (I couldn't do water that well) and I love the bubbles! The shading is gorgeous. It's a wonderful Aquaman. ^_^ Though....I have thought about this....If aquaman wears scalemail...wouldn't he sink? I do releize it helps with a fish like persona...but....hmmm....(super lightweight? *ponders*)

G76That orange shirt there is just like a normal shirt, but it's made up of scales like a fish. So it's not that heavy. There have been times when he's worn real armour. Like a knight. O_O I'd imagine that would be heavy. And very prone to rust. But I guess he is super strong under water, so it might not bother him that much. ;)

Thanks for your compliments. ^_^

Colossus08Nice. Good to see the old-school-two-handed Aquaman.

G76Thanks. There's no substitute for old-school Aquaman. Not to me anyway. Once he started having a harpoon for a hand, and then wearing all that funky armour...I tuned out.
