In Search of the Five Pillars

Description

This is a prize done for a contest.

I tried to REALLY push myself out of my comfort zone and try to do something snazzy.

Because it's the Monkey King...and the Monkey King kicks @$$. 8D Lots a @$$.

I kind of used the same lighting scheme I used in the Aquaman pic I did not too long ago. I thought that worked out okay, so I wanted to try it again and see if I could improve on it.

Did I mention the Monkey King kicks @$$? 8D

Out of your comfort zone? Damn looks good good to me, Your style is great and the coloring is awesome. All of your line art is superb beyond belief. I can't see how you could be disappointed at all.
Only thing I can see wrong with this is the cloud, or rather the tornado, beneath him looks a bit rushed.

Yeah, that cloud under him was the last thing I did. Usually the last thing I work on always ends up rushed, because I know I'm close to finishing and I just want to get there. It's something I need to work on.

Hmmm....I was just thinking...the monkey king kicks @$$. (I wonder where I got THAT idea? Hmmmmmmmmmm....)The stance is epic. I am randomly going to stand on a park bench in that stance and people shall be in awe of my awesomeness. XD The folds are great. They fit with a windy atmosphere. The shading makes me want to dance. Hurray for you!

Thanks. ^_^ If you do that stance, make sure to hold a big stick in your hand. That way, if anyone doesn't tremble before you...you can give them a bit of a smack across the head. ;)
