Kingdom By The Sea

Annabel Lee is my favorite poem by Edgar Allen Poe! My favorite story of his is "The Black Cat" Anyways great pic! It's a beautiful illustration that equally matches the poem!

I love this poem and this is a wonderful portrayal of it.

I especially like the narrator's face. As for criticism, it might look good if you put more detail on Annabel Lee's corpse. I suppose that would be difficult, though... it would take some really subtle work.

Keep it up. You obviously have brilliant ideas.

I agree with you, Kate-Sama. Annabel Lee was written about his cousin whom he married. She died as a child, sort of... He was twenty-six (?) and she was thirteen (?) when they married. It wasn't weird or anything, but they loved each other till death did they part. . . Sad to say, but, literally

Aw,Feari,don't be that way.Edgar Allen Poe had a very hard life,I'd imgaine he wrote stories and poetry to express his life in a creative way,not to freak people out.His life was indeed,filled with woe,but he had quite pleasant poetry peices,for example The Bells.

Every single time I read one of Edgar Allen Poe's poems it breaks me up, knowing what he went through all of his life! *God help my soul*

It was many a many a year ago, in a kingdom by the sea, that a maiden there lived whomyou may know by the name of Annabel Lee, and this maiden she livend with no other thought than to love and be loved by me. I was a child and she was a child in this kingdom by the seam but we loved with a love that was more than love, I and my Annabel Lee, with a love that the winged seraphs of heaven, Coveted her and me, and this was the reason that long ago in this kingdom by the sea, a wind blew out of a cloud, chilling my Annabel Lee...hehehehe
